Reno Running and Fitness in conjunction with Mark Hollingsworth from Caughlin Club is offering a 10-week session (Wed. nights at 6:00 p.m.) that will focus on improving strength, speed and running form. It should enable you to improve your times and reach the goals for which you are striving. The first night will consist of land training and pool training to determine your current fitness level and to assist the coaches with personalizing you training program with your goal time in mind.
This program is specially designed to improve your speed and form without causing injury. Weeks 1-3 of this program will be in the pool at Caughlin Club focusing on form and agility without the pounding on the roads. Weeks 4-6 will be running hills from Caughlin Club to focus on strength and form and weeks 7-10 will be at Reno High School track to focus on form and speed.
This session has a limit on the number of runners in the program to enable the coaches to provide safe, structured, and personalized training. Please register early, to ensure a spot in the program.

Please note: We recommend you have at least one year of running prior to registering for this program.
Speedwork (6:00 p.m.) will meet at Caughlin Club weeks 1-3 (Wednesday, Feb. 29) for aquatic speedwork. This will mean getting into the pool, so appropriate attire is necessary. Weeks 4 -6 will meet at Caughlin Club for hill training. Weeks 7-10 will meet at Reno High School track. This speedwork session is 60 minutes.
***Please bring a stopwatch or wristwatch and flashlight or headlamp to the speedwork sessions that will be outdoors. Due to daylight savings time, some of these sessions may occur in the dark. Please be prepared and dress accordingly.
